What are the goods and services offered by AFSA?
AFSA-Endorsed Insurance Program offers insurance products through various carriers for AFSA members. Pearl Insurance markets and acts as administrator for these Life and Health coverages, which includes services for coverage related questions, claim coordination and online bill payment option for premium.

What are the insurance coverage requirements for certificate cancellation and refund?
If an insured elects to cancel his/her coverage, a written request signed by the owner of the coverage is required in order to process the cancellation.
All certificate cancellation and refund requests must also include the following:- Name of Insured, as appears on the certificate
- Policy Number found on Insured’s certificate
- Subscriber ID # found on Insurance Premium Statement
- Effective Date of Certificate Cancellation
Certificate Cancellation and RefundIf a refund is due to the insured for a mid-term certificate cancellation, a refund will be issued within 30 days of receipt of the cancellation notice. Refund payments will be issued in the same manner in which the customer submitted payment (i.e. Credit Card, ACH, or check).

What is the security method for the transmission of payment data?
AFSA-Endorsed Insurance Program Online Pay secures your personal information from unauthorized access, use or disclosure. AFSA-Endorsed Insurance Program Online Pay secures the personal identifying information you provide on computer servers in a controlled, secure environment, protected from unauthorized access, use or disclosure. When personal information (such as a credit card number) is transmitted to other Websites, it is protected through the use of encryption, such as the Secure Socket Layer (SSL) protocol.
For risk management, and for processing certain types of follow-up transactions (for example, recurring billing or refunds), our credit card vendor, Authorize.Net®, will store customer payment information in a highly secured database for a limited period of time. However, all sensitive or personal identifying insured information that is stored by Authorize.Net® will be masked in the Merchant Interface and in merchant reporting. Additionally, in order to maintain compliance with credit card security compliance programs, internal access to insured information is highly restricted. Once insured payment information has been stored for 120 days (from the date it was originally received), Authorize.Net® purges the full information and stores only masked information.
